Free Legal Aid
Lone Star Legal Aid provides free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families who cannot afford an attorney in 72 counties in Texas and four counties in southwest Arkansas.
Houston Area Lawyer Referral
The Houston Lawyer Referral Service offers referrals in Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, and Montgomery Counties by phone or online form. Initial consultations for a small fee, reduced fees, 24-hour on-call lawyers, and referrals to social service agencies are also available.
Public Defender Offices
